Polybutylene supply piping shows up in Triangle homes built roughly 1978 to 1995. It is often gray flexible plastic stamped PB2110. It fails at fittings, sometimes without a long warning drip, and dumps potable water into walls, ceilings, and crawls.
We extract the water that already left the line, map the wet rooms, and dry the cavities. A plumber confirms the material and plans the re-pipe. We do not re-pipe the house. Drying a cavity while an acetal fitting is still cracked is wasted work.
